Alexandra Farms Earns Florverde Recertification for 2026–2027

Alexandra Farms has been recertified under the Florverde Sustainable Flowers standard for 2026–2027. The new certification period begins October 1, 2026. It covers both of our farms, San Ignacio and El Jardín, and everything we grow on them: garden roses, dahlias and accent flowers.

Florverde is Colombia’s voluntary sustainability program for flower growers. NaturaCert, the independent certification body that works with Florverde, reviewed our farms and confirmed that they meet the requirements of the latest version of the Florverde standard.

What Florverde looks at

Florverde looks at three main areas. Sustainability has to be shown in the production process and in how a farm treats its surroundings. Employees need a safe place to work. Every employee must also receive guaranteed benefits, at least the minimum the law requires.

What it means for our customers

This certification gives customers an independent check on how their flowers are grown. When you order garden roses, dahlias or accent flowers from Alexandra Farms, you can count on them coming from farms that are reviewed regularly for their care of people and the environment. We’ve held this certification since 2013 and renew it every year.
